So what’s a superfood? Hmmmm…. if you ask 20 experts this question, you’d most likely get 20 different answers. That is because there is no real standard on what “superfood” really means.
To me a superfood is a compound that contains a high amount of different nutrients (phytonutrients, enzymes, vitamins, minerals) and that also has health benefits. In other words, these are foods that make you look and feel SUPER!
